Following in the footsteps of pilgrims, crossing the bay is the most traditional activity in the Bay of the Mont Saint-Michel. This area abounds with natural phenomena to discover, such as the evident "must-see": the quicksand ! A stop that will amuse children and adults alike!

There are many possible variations given your guide's expertise. Ian WOOD's in-depth knowledge and familiarity with this natural area gives the chance to offer a variety of outings tailored to your needs and desires.

Seeking originality, sensory awakening, a reconnection? These guided outings can also be experienced at dawn or dusk! Witness the awakening of flora and fauna in the early morning or contemplate nature slowing down at the end of the day; truly memorable moments. Sometimes, on a clear day, nature even offers a spectacular sunrise or sunset!

A walk to discover natural treasures

An manageable outing for everyone to explore the contours of the Bay. From rivers to pilgrimage trails, not missing out the quicksand, this is an opportunity to experience a multitude of sensations underfoot! A walk with historical reminders that can be shared with family and friends.

Quicksand

From the Mont Saint-Michel to the Island of Tombelaine

A short trip to Tombelaine Island, crossing rivers and experiencing the famous quicksand ! This isolated rock in the Bay is a protected sanctuary for many species. It even conceals a few legends!

Group crossing

Traditional crossing

A round-trip hike to the Mont Saint-Michel, a route steeped in history. This outing offers the chance to discover the Bay in its most traditional form, following in the footsteps of pilgrims as they crossed it. In a small group, the hike begins on the opposite side of the Bay. Ian WOOD will guide you and provide commentary if you wish, in French or English, as you make your way to the Wonder with your feet in the sand.

Prices :

  • Complete Bay crossing (return trip) : 25€ per adult and 18€ per child (under 16 y/o)

  • One-way crossing or a discovery walk : 20€ per adulte and 15€ per child (under 16 y/o)

  • Crossing by night 35€ per person

  • School groups: : 225€ for a one-way crossing or a discovery walk (up to 30 people / 5€ per extra person). Free for teachers and group activity leaders.

It is also possible to combine a walk in the bay with one of our kayak outings (Saint-Jean le Thomas, Island of Tombelaine or the river Sélune) for an additional €15 per person.

Please note that we do not provide transport for the return on one-way outings.
